Can YOU Become a Motivational Speaker?
Yes. You. Can.
While sitting in the airport waiting for my flight I decided to answer the most common question I get from people after hearing me speak:
How can I become a motivational speaker like you?
Here are my simple steps sprinkled with some inspiration to get you motivational speaker dreamers going in the right direction:
9 of my tips covered in this video are:
1. If you feel called to speak–speak! Follow that pattern of your heart.
2. Becoming and remaining a paid motivational speaker is not all candy and roses. It’s hard work!
3. You have to be “in it” for the long haul. Building a public speaking dream takes years.
4. It’s a business and you need to treat it like one.
5. Know your message. Have a story to tell.
6. Find your market.
7. Have a plan.
8. Find your tribe. The National Speakers Association & Toastmasters International.
9. Believe in yourself.
If you need more motivational speaking help, I do offer private public speaking coaching.
