I am blessed not only with two incredible biological sisters, but with a whole tribe of soul sisters. My soul sisters empower me, lift me up, remind me who I am and why I do what I do, and just generally make my life so much better.
Especially as I work on building my own business, and take bold action toward my dreams, I really need my soul tribe!
And I believe that the power of the sisterhood is a big part of the reason I am even here at all. I get the strong sense that I am meant to lift women up, both through helping them believe in their own divine nature (women as Goddesses!) and by helping them believe in the power of their dreams.
I want to help as many women as possible to live their dreams. It brings me great joy and lasting fulfillment to help women. Part of my happiness comes from being in service to others!
And, I know I couldn’t live mine without the women who surround me and lift me up. So incredibly thankful for every single one of my soul sisters!
Why Women Need Each Other
Life is amazing – and can be so challenging at times, for all of us! It’s not easy to juggle all the commitments we have, remember to take good care of ourselves as we care for the people in our lives, and to move forward with our own goals and dreams.
And no matter how successful we may be, every single one of us sometimes feels self-doubt, fear or other “negative” emotions. It’s important to have people in our lives who believe in us, no matter what, and see us at our highest and best even in those moments when we don’t.
I have been relying on my “soul sisters” a lot lately, as I move forward with my goals in building my life coaching business, helping others rock their dreams as I work on rocking my own dreams.
I am so fortunate to have an incredible “tribe” of women through the Martha Beck life coaching training program I completed in 2012. These are women who are also committed to their entrepreneurial dreams, and they know both how much fun and how challenging it can be to build a business.
It’s so empowering to have other people around you who believe in your ability to create what you dream of. None of us live our dreams alone – it always requires a team.
I’m so fortunate to have such a beautiful, powerful team cheering me on!
And, I’m lucky to have so many women in my life who are inspirations and role models for me. Many, like rock star life and business coach Susan Hyatt, show me what’s possible with this business and lifestyle.
Susan does something I have long dreamed of doing, which is running weeklong retreats for women in beautiful, exotic locations. So far, since launching her international retreats last year, she has helped inspire women to make positive changes in their lives and go after their dreams through retreats in Italy, Thailand, Ireland and Greece.
I’m so inspired by what she does, and cannot wait to create my own retreat experiences for women! My intention is to plan my first one to take place in 2016 (location still yet to be decided!).
Doing the Work
Being a “Lady Boss” as Susan Hyatt calls it takes some serious chutzpah, stamina, planning and persistence! Entrepreneurs generate our own jobs basically, and it means being consistently creative, and continuing even when things get challenging.
I wouldn’t trade it, but I also don’t know how I’d do it without the women who cheer me on, review my coaching program ideas, help me to stay on track with my goals, and generally just make life more fun and worthwhile.
I’m so thankful for my team of “soul sisters!”
And my vision is to keep growing my business to serve more and more women, so that more women can live their dreams. I swear it changes the world for the better every time a woman believes in herself enough to live her soul’s purpose.
I believe that deep down inside, we all know what our soul’s purpose is. Sometimes it takes a bit of excavating to discover it, because we have to be willing to release whatever it is that we believe we “should” be doing.
Living our soul’s purpose is about doing what you feel called to do, even if it feels scary, which it generally will. But by doing what you were afraid of you become braver and stronger in the process, and you change not only yourself, but the world.
Every woman who stands in her power and shares her unique voice with the world is a gift to the world.
Thank Goddess for the sisterhood!
