Win Your Dream Trip with the Travel Bucket List Contest

Princess Cruises is hosting the Travel Bucket List Contest.

They will award the winner with round trip airfare for two and the cruise of their choice.

You can pick from eight cruise choices, which include, New Zealand, Tahiti, Southeast Asia and the Grand Mediterranean–Spain, Italy and Greece.

Oh, the choices! Which dream travel destination will you pick?

Perhaps the more important question is: what travel story should you submit?

Contest Details

Entering the contest is pretty easy. All you have to do is tell a travel tale that you think should be on everyone’s travel bucket list. What traveling have you done that you want the world to know about?

It doesn’t have to be the furthest destination you’ve traveled to. Some of my most memorable trips didn’t involve a large distance, like experiencing a New Orleans Mardi Gras or cave splunking in Missouri.

Usually go the first thing that pops into your head. For me, it’s driving a campervan across the North and South islands of New Zealand. Highly recommended and perhaps that’s a post onto itself.

So now that I have my travel experience selected, and hopefully you do to, here is what we need to do next:

• “Friend” Princess Cruises on Facebook to get the contest details
• Read the Official Rules (They can’t accept videos with copyrighted music)
• Gather your travel photos or videos
• Enter the contest in one of two ways–short essay with photos or video

Two ways to enter the contest:

Option 1: Submit an essay with photos

Write a descriptive essay (25-300 words) that captures your travel experience and submit it along with 1-5 photos that you took on that trip. One photo needs to include you. Photos can be submitted in .jpg or .png formats.

Option 2: Submit a video

Share your travel experience in the form of an original video between 1 and 2 minutes long. Videos can be submitted in .avi, .mov, .flv or .mp4 formats, but must be below 135 megabytes.

Once the entry period ends, the voting begins. The story with the most votes at the end of the voting period wins–it’s that simple. So encourage friends, family, neighbors–basically everyone you know–to vote every day for your story.

Eligibility
No purchase necessary. The contest is open to all residents of the U.S., Puerto Rico, Canada (excluding Quebec), the United Kingdom, Australia and New Zealand. Enter through February 7, 2011. Must be 21 years of age or older. In order to enter, you must first “Like” Princess Cruises on Facebook. Please read the Official Rules for complete eligibility details.
