How I Reincarnated An Old Dream

Last updated on May 10th, 2009 at 12:40 am

I had a great opportunity this evening to reconnect with a bunch of women who helped me find my voice, both literally and figuratively, a long time ago. The award winning Sweet Adeline’s chorus Pacific Empire Chorus was a huge expansion of my family for a few years during my divorce. There is nothing like 100+ women singing Barbershop 4-part harmony to boost the energy in your life!

Making this connection again made me realize how there was always something creative to explore in my life – singing, sewing, jewelry, graphic design, programming (yes, problem solving can be creative!), and of course being a parent.

The funny part is that we always lose these connections, and if we are lucky, are reminded of them just in time to need them. That whole “universe will provide” thing typically works. I just need to get out of my own way most of the time.

Name that tune!

Name that tune!

One thing I did let happen this weekend was an outdoor photo shoot for my jewelry. My wonderful husband caught some amazing shots of my sparkly stuff, including this close up of my newest piece that I would love your feedback on. You may remember my request last week that I would love your input in naming this one, and due to popular demand, here is a close up. Thanks a bunch for all the great feedback so far!

The web site is THIS close – I’ve got product descriptions, fun names, and even SKU’s – not all the products are up, but my goal is to have at least 12 pieces totally online and launch this puppy by 4/15.

Find your voice, sing your own praises and sparkle this week – Heather

(Heather’s dream is to have multiple streams of income, starting with launching an e-commerce website that showcases her one-of-a-kind designer jewelry, which are crafted by her.  Heather’s post day is Thursday)
