What an awesome week!
It flew by with days upon days of painting  beautiful sunsets, glorious sunrises, and spectacular coastal views. On Friday, by noon, the artists had to turn in their six completed framed paintings after only four days to do them.
Within four hours, the San Luis Obispo’s Art center had hung the whole show in time for their special collectors event. Â Then at six they opened up their doors to the public.
What a crowd!
I sold two paintings on Friday night.  Then Saturday morning was the “quick draw” where all the artists are gathered in the  downtown center next to the mission and we had two hours to complete a painting.
There were hundreds of people watching and taking pictures as we worked. Â When the time was up, they live auctioned our wet paintings off to the crowd. Â My painting sold to a very nice family and multiple people were bidding on it.
There were so many great artists there and many phenomenal paintings were created that week. Â And the icing on the cake, is after the events, the artists would gather around and we would have great lengthy discussions on topics only artists could appreciate.
