Who Else Needs Time and Money

So close - right photo, wrong info

This last day of April comes with some confession and focus. Focus #1: I am quickly working on my products on line. Confession #1: I am working under stress to have something totally cool to announce at our upcoming meeting in a few days.

Last week I was lamenting about the perils of creativity and organization. The joys of problem solving balanced by the never ending ticking clock. As part of my ongoing desire to find new ways to expand my personal and business growth, I have regularly attended training that help me focus on my personal blocks to several concepts: worth, prosperity, and the decisions I make that impact my life.

One of the strongest concept was my belief in the old adage “Time is Money“. This is a tough one for me. For years I operated under this belief. I worked hard, earned money, and could only earn more by working harder, doing more things. This adage and how I was applying it was blown away. Simply having a group of entrepreneurs in one room dispelling this myth one after another made me finally face the truth. There are many ways to make money and the model of trading time for money isn’t exactly the most efficient. Rearranging my thoughts around this concept takes a daily reminder, literally. It’s written on my bathroom mirror with a white-board marker (thanks for that tip Cath!).

Focus #2: Taking time to research the best way to describe my products online to help my work stand out from the crowd. Confession #2: Just because I made them, doesn’t mean they will make money.

This last confession is a tough one, and brings up a fear of failure that is not new. The funny part is that I am not depending on the site bringing in money. What makes that funny is the knowledge that just that fact alone means it probably will – gotta love Murphy’s law and all that jazz.

Where are you finding your blocks in taking the next step? In yourself or perceived external forces?

I look forward to hearing what you find for yourself – Heather

(Heather’s dream is to have multiple streams of income, starting with launching an e-commerce website that showcases her one-of-a-kind designer jewelry, which are crafted by her.  Heather’s post day is Thursday)
