My dream toward health and fitness starts very early in the morning. The sun has yet to think about rising at 5:00 a.m. when I roll out of bed and avoid stepping on meowing cats to get ready to coach boot camp.
I love what I do before dawn every weekday. Encourage people of all fitness levels to take one more step toward their fitness goals.
It was only a few years back when the concept of my motivating anyone was exhausting.
If you haven’t heard my back-story of finding my own health and fitness, I’ll give you a quick synopsis:
- I was active growing up in ballet and gymnastics
- I realized in my 20’s that I was eating emotionally
- After my son was born, I gained weight, started to lose it, then slowly crept up to my highest weight about 3 years ago: 199 pounds
Two years ago when I first stepped foot in Santa Rosa Fit Body Boot Camp, I had spent the previous year losing 80 pounds. I felt pretty fit and ready to take on a new fitness challenge.
30 minutes later I wasn’t sure I would be able to walk the next day.
Why I love being a trainer
What I love about it is motivating people. Giving them the opportunity to find something in themselves they might not have known was there. The other reason is support. If there’s something hurting, or going on in their lives that I can help them work through and keep focus on their fitness and being there for them.
The other reason is bringing enthusiasm. Just ask my 6 a.m. crew here at Fit Body Boot Camp how enthusiastic I can be at dark o’clock. I am looking forward to my next workout and I know that once you find fitness in your life and you will too.
Fitness dream achieved with passing my fitness certification!
The Metabolic Training Certification offered amazing information on how to use exercise to do what we all would like to be able to do: speed up our ability to burn fat with a finite time to workout.
A coach is someone who cares, shows sympathy, understands your struggles and still pushes you to get to your next goal and never give up.
