Hi Everyone,
While I am certainly not giving up on my dream of becoming an accomplished equestrian, it is with mixed feelings that I have chosen to leave 8 Women Dream. So, this will be my last post.
8 Women Dream deserves nothing less than someone who can be fully committed to the group. With all that I attempt to do – Mommy, Wife, Equestrian, Attorney, Rose Parade Float Builder – I simply cannot be fully committed here as well. Its time to for me to make space for someone who can.
Nikki and I are on a good path. We have great trainers, a clean bill of health from the vet, and, most importantly, I’ve actually climbed on his back a couple of times. I’m so excited to be entering the world of 3 Day Eventing and I have high hopes for my future as an equestrian. There is no doubt in my mind that none of that would have happened had it not been for the support and encouragement I’ve found here at 8 Women Dream.
Thank you to everyone! I will certainly miss my weekly posting responsibilities. Being forced to look back on my week and really assess where I was with my dream, and why, has been enlightening. I am lucky to have been part of this group.
If you’re ever at a horse show and see a small, blond lady on a giant, dapple grey horse, please come say “hi” and see if its Nikki and I!
