Perfectly Pinup
It’s 12/12/12 and we’re all still standing. (Insert canned laughter track here.)
To celebrate, I’m sharing one of my favorite photos. This is a recent client at our studio, Juliane and she is a doll. She captured the innocent allure and sexy but frustrated expression of 1950s era pinup art perfectly. We’ve all had those glam days that end with sore feet, haven’t we ladies?
Sometimes as part of my dream I like to showcase images that represent that “moment” when everything seems to come together.
You know what that feels like, right?
You lose all sense of time and when you are done there’s this excited, scared satisfaction sprinkled with a bit of fear that you’ve just accomplished something amazing.
Today in honor of 12/12/12 notice the moments where you lose track of time and you are completely engaged in what you are doing. These are the signs that you are on the right dream-track and doing what you love. Your dreams should feel alluring — much like this photo.
And if nothing alluring is currently calling to your heart right now then you need to spend some time remembering the things you once loved.
Do you remember when you were young and innocent … what did you love to spend time pretending? What did you love to play? What drew you in? What made you feel whole? What made you feel powerful?
What was alluring?
Today, just remember.
