Occasionally, a big dreamer who challenges the norm and takes a stand to make a change comes along. Social entrepreneur and big dreamer Sarah Ehrlich has done just that by helping Help for Orphans, a social movement dedicated to ending world hunger among orphaned children.
She plans to make change happen by giving a flock of chickens to worldwide orphanages.
Providing chickens to a needy community helps them with their food needs and provides them with much-needed long-term income, enabling the whole community to be completely self-sufficient.
Each chicken provides food for malnourished orphans for up to 15 years and is a sustainable way to fight the hunger epidemic in these third-world countries.
Sarah Ehrlich’s unique strategy involves donating chickens to Kenya and Haiti orphanages. She has a long track record of helping those in need and has been actively involved with orphaned children for years. After a visit to India in 2006, Sarah founded Help for Orphans International to help meet the serious need for safe places for children to live.
Help for Orphans International has committed to increasing its scope and influence and has successfully expanded its operations to include, most notably, the Give A Flock organization.
Sarah has added movements such as Operation Backpack, Healthy Smiles, and Clothe the Children, which provide much-needed learning materials, dental care, and clothes to the children of Help the Orphans International.
