OK. I did it. This week I officially signed up for my three grad school classes starting September. I am so excited along with being nervous, elated and scared. I am just one tangled up mess of emotions. Overall, I am happy.
My life is good so I am counting my blessings.
I am joyful to have my prickly almost sixteen year old son who gets straight A s, does not swear and is a good son. I am fortunate to have a front yard garden which has been providing us our daily salads, zucchini and soon to be hundreds of tomatoes. I am grateful that my husband and I manage to save our sixteen year marriage and now make a point to spend more quality time together. I am elated to be living in an area that supports the arts allowing me to continue down my dream path of becoming a successful international artist. I am thankful to be part of Eight Women Dream and for sharing in each of their dreams.
On a side note, I have been thinking about having a midlife crises. I figured since I am an “old soul” having already raised two stepsons who are now adults that I should arrive at my midlife crises early. Tattoo? Skydiving? Wild party next year at Burning Man? Does anyone have their own midlife crises story to share? I need some ideas.
(Wendy’s dream is still to become a influential international artist, but she left 8 Women Dream in March of 2010 to complete grad school. She is still a strong supporter of 8 Women Dream and you will see her in the comments on the blog.)
